9:00 AM at the South Jordan Justice Center. Just a typical Thursday morning. Or was it? A tall, clean-shaven man strode into the building. His crisp white shirt, carefully knotted tie, and armload of papers let everyone know that he meant business. It was. . .Jared. . .a mild-mannered engineer by day--a ruthless avenger of traffic tickets by, um, other days.
One evening few weeks ago, Jared received a traffic ticket which he felt was totally unjustified (no, he wasn't speeding--you'll have to ask Holly for the whole story). So he scheduled a court date, did some research, showed up for his appointment. . .and WON! He didn't really get a trial--he just spoke briefly to the prosecutor, who turned around immediately and recommended to the judge that the ticket be overturned. (Brandon, I'm sure that's not the right terminology. . .that's why I'm the teacher and you're the law-talking guy!)
Elizabeth is, of course, very proud of her smart, courageous Dad!
